1. New Entrants to the Scaffolding Industry This is the core group the course is designed for. These are individuals with little to no prior experience in scaffolding who want to start a career as a scaffolding operative. The course provides them with the essential knowledge and basic skills to work safely under supervision on a construction site. 2. Construction Workers Looking to Re-skill or Diversify People who are already working in the construction industry (e.g., as laborers, groundworkers, or in other trades) who want to move into the specialized and in-demand field of scaffolding. The CISRS card is a mandatory requirement, so this course is their first step. 3. Laborers on Scaffolding Sites Individuals who are already working on sites where scaffolding is present but in a supporting role (e.g., moving materials, general labour). Employers often require them to get this qualification to ensure they understand site-specific safety and can work more effectively alongside scaffolders. Key Characteristics of the Target Audience: Must be at least 18 years old. Physically capable: The job involves manual handling, working at height, and is physically demanding. Keen to learn and follow strict safety protocols: Safety is the absolute priority in scaffolding. |
